Roar with me, JP is 3!

For John Parker's third birthday, we decided to go with a dinosaur theme.  He is a little obsessed with dinosaurs right now, so it was only fitting that his party was all things dino!  The weather was absolutely gorgeous for February - we couldn't have been more fortunate with that aspect - every other year his birthday party has been cold, damp and dreary; but this year it was in the upper 60s, sunny, and warm, and  we took advantage of the outdoors the whole time!  John and I got him a two day trip for our family to Disney World during Spring Break - He doesn't really understand what it means, but he keeps saying "we are going to Mickey's house!"  I can't wait to go!!!  He also got a new bike, new dino bedding for his toddler bed, and tons of other cool things.  We planned a dinosaur bone hunt, and John hid the toy bones like you would hide Easter eggs... However, we didn't take into consideration that the bones weren't bright and colorful like Easter eggs!!!  Even the adults had trouble finding some of the bones!  It was a really fun party, and I think I enjoyed it more than any of the parties we've had so far, probably because it was just such a beautiful day and John Parker really had a nice time.

food table - John Parker brought everyone in and said "come see my snacks".  We had pimento cheese and crackers, assorted fruit with cream cheese dip and nutella dip, cheese cubes and mini crackers for the minis, white chocolate covered peanuts/m&ms mix, and ranch/dill seasoned oyster crackers.

Blowing out the candles - funny story... Right as we finished singing "Happy birthday to youuuuu", Gage was set and ready and blew out the candles as JP was inhaling to get ready to blow them out.  I thought JP was going to have a melt down, but crisis averted - we just lit them again and sang the last line of the song - and he got to blow out his candles!

Having eggs, yogurt and blueberries for dinner with their dinos in sight, of course,  after everyone left.  Such a fun day!
